Introduction
I am often asked why I chose to be a
therapist, which reasoning goes fairly
deep within myself. It was not only the
challenge of working with the human
mind and person, which continues to
fascinate my own mind; but the heart
and soul of it as well.
I once found a description of Psyche
which described the term as “the
knowledge and understanding of the
soul”; it touched me deeply and
resonated with my own soul. Supporting
people through the therapeutic process,
living true to their soul, and healing all
encompass so much meaning in my life.
It is this meaning that keeps me moving
forward in the face of challenges.

Mind, body, environment all affect our pain, both
negative or positive. Learning mindfulness
techniques can make a difference in pain
management, as well as quality of life for those
living with chronic pain. If you are dealing with
chronic pain and emotionally related pain, it is
helpful to work with a therapist trained in
mindfulness.
